ENTROPH

is a Berlin based studio for wearable objects. Founded by Henam Shin who has degree and background in fine art and worked previously as a tattoo artist.

Its name is drawn from three ideas held together. Entropy, the slow pull of all things toward disorder. Metamorph, the act of changing form. Negentropy, entropy's quieter counterpart, the will toward form. The name carries all three at once.

 Between these two forces, we work. Every piece is built at the point where the industrial meets the organic, where what is made confronts what simply happens: rust, skin, time, weather. We hold the line between them, and call that line our identity.

Interest lies in the human instinct to decorate the body, in the meaning, consciousness, and sense of life it holds. To decorate the body is to celebrate existence on this earth. Every piece made sits inside one question: where does nature end and artifice begin

CRAFT

Our process moves between digital and handmade methods.

Pieces are modeled and prototyped digitally, then cast and finished entirely by hand in our Berlin studio - every piece ends in handwork, not machine.

Left alone, sterling silver darkens, scratches, and shifts over time. That's entropy acting on the metal the same way it acts on everything else.
